Team Requirements
What you need to compete
Team Size
2-10 students per team (recommended 4-6 for optimal collaboration)
Adult Mentor
At least one adult coach/mentor required per team (must pass background check)
Robot Kit
Official MRX platform kit for your division (PRO, MID, KID, or MAX)
Programming Device
Computer, tablet, or Chromebook with MRX coding software
Consent Forms
Signed parent/guardian consent for all student participants
Engineering Notebook
Document your design process (required for judged awards)

Can students be on multiple teams?
No, students may only be registered on one XRC team per season to ensure fair competition.
What if we don't have equipment yet?
You can register first and purchase equipment later. Many teams register early to secure their spot while fundraising for kits.
Can homeschool students participate?
Absolutely! Homeschool teams and community-based teams are welcome in all divisions.
Is there financial assistance available?
Yes! We offer need-based grants and fee waivers. Contact support@mrxrobotics.com for information.
How do we find events near us?
After registration, you'll gain access to our event finder showing all competitions in your region.
Can we change divisions after registering?
Division changes may be requested within 30 days of registration, subject to availability and fee differences.
